is born. He also has located a small crop of local
pickers and participated in his first jam session at

chapter in Sumter County.

Local A Major Chapter had an interesting jam after
the close of the last meeting (June 2011). It can best
be described at something of a cross between musical
toss-the-mandolin. We had more members present than
we had mandolins so, as the tunes progressed around
the picker's circle, the last person in the line had
to relinquish his axe to the person just ahead of the
