JIM "DUCK" ADKINS

A founding member of Cedar Hill, Jim has been quacking since the age of 5. He was elected the second president of the Southeastern Bluegrass Association (1987-88) and is a retired Human Resource Professional. As if the banjo was not the zenith of musical expressiveness, Duck also plays the accordion. (During the squeezebox performances, complimentary earplugs are distributed to the audience.)

"WILD BOB" MACISAAC

Bob is a luthier and owns his own instrument repair business--oddly enough called Bob's Guitar Service. He is sometimes referred to as "Brutus" and is Cedar Hill's resident bouncer. A member of Cedar Hill since its founding in 1976, Wild Bob is also active in the Atlanta Chapter of the Sports Car Club of America. Bob hold several trophies from local staring contests relying on small droplets of cyanoacrylate to keep from blinking.

JERRY "HEAVY EQUIPMENT MAN" ZEE

Jerry has returned to Cedar Hill after a stint as a radio DJ in Wyoming, touring with musical comedian Kip Attaway and teaching elementary school in Virginia. When not playing with Cedar Hill he performs his musical children's show around Atlanta schools and involves himself, oddly enough, with a vaudeville duo and a ukelele orchestra

"RANGER" BRAD LAIRD

Brad teaches mandolin, banjo, guitar and upright bass, is a piano tuner and technician, operates a recording studio in his home, is a flint knapper, home brewer, and an amateur radio operator. Brad joined Cedar Hill in 1983 and has, miraculously, only threatened to quit once--over being forced to sit in the middle in the front seat on the way to long distance gigs. He REALLY was a forest ranger for several years until a small, accidental incident involving 400 acres of dry timber and a book of matches. "DIAMOND DAVE" ELLIS

David joined Cedar Hill in 2004 and plays fiddle and Dobro with the group. He grew up playing bluegrass and for many years played banjo with the group Windy Creek. In addition to his performances with Cedar Hill he teaches guitar and banjo and amazes people with his ability pass a 4/4 fiddle through his head and have it emerge still in tune.
