What happened to Brad's Mandolin Mini-Mall?

It is true that every mandolin player needs a certain amount of "stuff". For two years I presented here a selection of items (tuners, strings, microphones, etc.) which I have personally used. I included links to the products on Amazon. I recently decided to remove all of the Amazon product links from my site. Why?

First, after 2 years I never even reached the minimum accumulated affiliate fees for them to cut me a check. So, it wasn't making money.

Second, I think that (even though the products shown are ones which I believe in, use, and thought might be helpful to you) the presence of those Amazon ads made me look like I was only doing this website for the money--which is most certainly not true. Yes, I do want you to buy my products (over at MandoUniversity, Watch & Learn and a few other placed on the web) because I have to feed my family and pay my bills, but the Amazon links were not contributing to that cause so they are *poof* gone.

Maybe one of these days I will do the same with the streamed Geegle Ads over on the side. They did actually cut me 1 check (barely bought 2 tanks of gas) so, for now, they stay. You can always ignore them if you want to.

The banner ads for FreeMandolinVideos.com and MandoUniversity are staying because they lead you to all of my other mandolin DVDs, books, and downloadable video lessons. Even though I collect a royalty every time one of those products sells I don't feel like I am twisting anyone's arm here. You wouldn't be here if you didn't want to learn how to play the mandolin and those products, Scout's honor, do just that.
