Episode 147 - Jamplification
Are you satisfied with the sound you experience at your local jam session? Someone has suggested setting up a mic or two. Will it help or hurt? After a bit of discussion about what it means to be an "expert" I dish the dirt on the use of PAs at jam sessions.
Thank you to my Patreon supporters. I have said it many times but it bears repeating: YOU are a huge part of making this happen. I do appreciate it! I really, really, really, really do.

The music for this episode is:
Intro - Buddy Ashmore and Pony Express singing Prison Walls written by Randy Godwin.
Outro - This is a recording of a bit of Rickett's Hornpipe played in my living room by the guys in Pony Express. Mike Estes, fiddle; Buddy Ashmore, guitar, me on mandolin, Randy Godwin on bass and David Ellis on banjo (with resonator removed). Recorded about 1999 on a Tascam 4 track analog cassette tape recorder with 3 mics to use as a little promo demo to get festival gigs. It worked!
